DIRECTIONS :
The Bath half marathon is on this Sunday and will cause traffic chaos in the centre of Bath. Therefore, I would suggest that the route to use is to approach from the Bath racecourse side, by coming along the Chippenham to Bath road (either past Marshfield) or by coming along the Melksham to Bath road and then going up the Batheaston bypass, towards the M4. Either way, once you reach the Cold Ashton roundabout you need to head for Bristol down Tog Hill and then turn left immediately before the farm. Follow your nose down the dip and up the other side. You will then come to a T junction on a hairpin bend. You need to turn left again and then stay on this road. You will go past Bath racecourse, Lansdown Golf club and The Blathwayt pub, all on your right hand side. After about half a mile along the straight you should see Beckford's Tower on your right. The turning into Kingswood School's Upper Playing Fields is almost directly opposite here, just before the MOD's site on the left hand side.
