Under 15's Blues go down to Chipenham
A good start from Melksham scoring after 3 minutes and a good come back going down narrowly to Chippenham.
Melksham started brightly and were off the mark in 3 minutes with a headed goal by Jack kelly from a corner. A goal line clearance stopped melksham pulling further ahead after Paul lobbed the keeper. A break on the right saw a equaliser from Chippenham on 8 minutes. Mellksham pushed forward and were denied again from a goal line clearance and some missed chances by Melksham. Chippenham made them pay when they muscled through to take a 2-1 lead.
With Melksham pushinh on, a long punt for ward by Chippenham hit a divit and bouced horribly over the goal keepers head. Chippenham scored a fourth 2 minutes later to put them 4-1 ahead. Melksham never gave up a goal from Paul Cuthbertson and Jack Kelly on 52 and 65 minutes brought them back in the game. Melksham forced numberous corners but could not convert these into goals. A late chance hit the post proving it was not going to be Melkshams day. A good team performance
