Second half goal clinches win for Castle Combe
Melksham came off second best in a close encounter with Castle Combe on Sunday 11th November.
Melksham Started brightly creating a couple of early chances from Paul. Castle combe came more into the game and forced pete into action, with Pete making a superb double save to keep the game tied.
The second half contimnued with Paul, George and Jonathan not getting much change out of the Combe defence. Castle combe finally broke the deadlock after a defence splitting ball and the striker lobbing Pete.
Melksham pushed forward with a couple of efforts on goal and numerous corners but could not get the equaliser.
Special memtion to Pete who was outstanding in the Melksham Goal . Not our best performance of the season but we looked solid in defence with two tough games in the next couple of weeks.
