Under 15 Blue edged out of County Cup

The under 15's Blues went out of the County cup to a talanted Salisbury Juniors side.

Salisbury dominated the early stages and some excellent defending by Jack and Ben kept the scoreline level. 

Salisbury finally broke the deadlock and slotted a second later in the half. Melksham were not playing the fluid football they played last week.

The second half showed a more setermined Melksham side who started to play some nice football on the floor and were rewarded with a goal from Jonathan.  Salisbury were being hurried of the ball and Melksham  thought they had drawn level which their play deserved but was disallowed by the referee. Further chances late on would just not go in to force extra line.

A resurgent Westbuty Youth 2nds next week in the Mid Wilts cup, lets hope we can continue with our second half performances in the last 2 matches for two halves.

Great effort lads today and well done for not letting your heads drop and pushing until the final whistle.
