U15 Blues Out of Mid Wilts cup
Melksham lose 4-1 away to Westbury Youth.
Melksham went into the game in confident mood against Westbury who they beat earlier in the season. Despite having the early possession Westbury went ahead on 6 minutes but Melksham soon replied through Matty lobbing the goalie on 14 minutes. Westbury then capitilised when the striker nipped in between the defence and goalie after they both hesitated to lead 2-1 at half time.
Westbury went further ahead on 46 minutes but Melksham still had the possession but could not get a clear scoring chance. Westbury killed the game off wth 15 minutes to go with a good strike from the right.
Westbury played to their strengths and Melksham were not clinical enough in friont of goal and physical enough around the park which will be concentrated on in training.
Next league match is Melksham Town Reds who are on the up after winning their last league match.
