Under 13 Girls V Bradford on Avon
Narrow victory maintains unbeaten record.
A early saturday start for the u13 girls against a buoyant Bradford team who had won 11-0 the previous week.
Melksham welcomed back Lozza to the team, and Jess for her first league game of the season. The early start must of affected the girls as they could not get going against a well disciplined Bradford team and could only manage a couple of efforts on goal. Abi made a couple of saves to keep a livley Bradford attack at bay. After the half time team talk from Kevin, Melksham picked up a gear and a goal finally came from a thunderous shot from Tash to break the deadlock. Melksham pushed on with Ash having a couple more attempts on goal, with the defence and midfield beginning to dominate the game.
A tough match with Melksham claiming a priceless win to stay top without producing their best form.
Well done girls and it looks like the return game v Bradford on the 2nd December will be tough one.
