melksham went into the game with players missing through illness and netball, plus players coming from their sick bed to play in this top of the table clash.
The first half was a close affair with a lot of aggression and little flair until Ash went past 4 players in the 23rd minutes to put Melksham in the lead. Alex was keeping close tabs on the Trowbridge forward and Abi looking secure in goal.
The second half saw Trowbridge looking for the equaliser and putting Melksham under pressure. This came from Chantelle who ran down the right and hit a thunderous shot in at the near post.
Melksham Hit the post from a Holly free kick which Melksham could not scramble home.
A tough match which leaves Melksham joint top with a game in hand. Well done girls in a tough physical match.
