MTYFC u13 Girls v FC Chippenham

Melksham Town under 13's Girls stayed top of the league and undefeated after a 8-0 win over a battling FC Chippenham team.

After a tight first 10 minutes with chances at either end Tash broke the deadlock after a good pass from Ellie breaking out of defence. Tash doubled the lead a minute later with a ball threaded through by Naomi. The game settled down with Chippenham  forcing some corners putting the Melksham defence under pressure. melksham were quick on the break from the FC Attacks with Jade and Ash shooting narrowly wide, before Naomi running with the ball from inside her own half slotted the ball home to the left of the keeper to make it 3-0 at half time.

Melksham were quick out of the blocks  for the 2nd half as Ash ran from her own half and placed the ball to the keepers right. The FC keeper was being kept busy under mounting pressure making some fine saves before Tash took her tally to 4  with two more well taken goals on 49 and 51 minutes. Alex made it 7 on 52 minutes her 2nd of the season from inside the box. Ash finished the scoring off on 58 minutes with a thunderbolt from the right, Lauren hit the post late on after a fine turn and shot.  A good team performance and another clean sheet against a battling side, the big one next week v Trowbridge Town.
