Under 11 Girls Win at Home
Melksham Town Youth 12 - 0 Bradford On Avon. A home win maintains the girls good start to the season!
I would like to start this report by congratulating Bradford, the attitude and sportsmanship you dislayed was excellent. Keep your heads up you are a credit to your team mates and Club.
In parts we played some very good football, quick inteligent passing and when we did we scored or was stopped by a good save ..... and there were a few of them made by the Bradford keeper. But at other times we forgot what we've been doing all season and most of last.... passing the ball, so far this season and all of last I have not seen a better passing side, but during this game I was very disappointed to see players hold onto the ball and try to do too much on thier own! It's not often I'm concenred about our performances, but this wasn't one of our better 'team' efforts. Individually there were three very good performances and these three played for the team, but unfortunately not everyone did.
To be completely honest I can't remember the score at half time, that's not because of the amount it was because I was frustrated at some of our play. At the final whistle it was 12, 6 from Emma, 2 from Ruby, 2 from Lauren 1 from Ruby (Scooby) and an unfortunate own goal.
Imy made her seasons debut on pitch in the second half and after a few minutes got herself into the game. Thank you to Ruby for going in goal for the second half.
See you all at training .... I bet you can't guess what we'll be working on???
