Another win for the Under 13 Girls
FC Chippenham 0 - Melksham Town Youth 2
The girls final League game away from home this season saw them come away with a convincing 2 - 0 win.
A mixed performance, a poor start with little cohesion, no leadership and for the first time this season a lack of shape. It was about half way through the first half when we put together a few good passes and looked more like ourselves.
The Chippenham keeper made numerous good saves especially during the second half to keep goals conceded to only two. Chippenham battled hard and are a big side, coupled with a relatively small pitch took some beating at a bitterly cold Stanley Park.
For the first time this season I had planned to ask some serious questions at half time, but that plan changed when the girls sorted themselves out and started to play football like they can.
The second half was a much better performance with the girls putting together some good moves whilst trying new ideas.
Our goal scorers today were Scooby and Emma P both with well worked goals, all in all a good result and what turned out to be a solid team performance.
See you all at training.
