Yellows lose narrowly in a thrilling second half

Melksham town u12 yellows produced a storming second half performance to pull back three goals and only get beaten 5-4.

Melksham Town Yellows are still looking for their first win despite a spirited second half performance which saw a 4-1 Larkhall advantage at half time clawed back to lose by only 5-4.

The first twenty minutes were all Larkhall as they took a 2-0 lead .

Melksham brought on substitute Joe in midfield and within minutes of being on the pitch he scored a fine goal to make the score 2-1.

However Larkhall were quick in replying and soon added a third and then a fourth just before half time to make the score 4-1 at halftime to Larkhall.

The second half saw yet another substitution lead to a goal for Melksham as Aaron popped up in the box to score an excellent goal and reduce the lead to 4-2.

However once again Larkhall come back and made it 5-2, but the lads never gave up and were rewarded when Joe again popped up to score his second goal of the match at 5-3 and then Thomas scored to make the score now just 5-4 to larkhall and set up a tense last 5 minutes.

The lads finished the stronger but could not get the equaliser they were looking for and 5-4 was the final score.

Man of the Match went to Joe and credit must be given to Melksham Keeper Hayden who yet again continues to improve and had an excellent game.
