U13's A win in Bath
Match report for U13's A against Larkhall
Melksham Town Youth A played away to Larkhall today and on what was a windy and wet day played some really good fast football to win 4-1. Within 25 minutes Melksham were 3 goals up after 1 Stevie Gerrard like goal and another coolly taken penalty from Ben Little and 1 pile driver from Leon Greenland. Melksham kept it like this until 10 minutes into the second half when some good play from Larkhall allowed them to get on the score sheet.
Melksham then reapplied the pressure and were awarded when Ben Spong again got on the score sheet with a very clinical finish. Melksham could have had more goals but were content to win comfortably on the road.
Ben Little and Ben Spong have now registered goals in all four league matches this season with Ben Spong narrowly leading the goal scoring charts with 8 to Ben Littles 7.
Man of the match today was Jack Whiting, he kept one of the best players in the league quiet for the whole match.
