U12 YELLOWS SECURE FIRST POINT
Melksham Town Yellows secured a well earned point with an amazing team performance to earn a 4-4 draw away to 2nd place Chippenham town blue who have lost only 1 game this season and won eight.
The game started badly for the yellows conceding a goal in the first two mins but soon got back on level terms with a goal from callum.
Chippenham then went ahead at 2-1 with TJ replying to make the score 2-2 , then in the last seconds of the first half Chippenham struck again to leave the yellows 3-2 down at the break.
In the second half melksham applied pressure and from a corner TJ crossed into the box and Birthday boy kieran bundled the ball into the net to make it all level at 3-3.
with 15 mins to go the yellows were again behind to a superb strike from a chippenham forwrad which gave hayden in the melksham goal no chance.
the boys never gave up and were rewarded with a super strike of their own as kieran added a second with a swerving shot which completely fooled the chippenham defence and keeper to make it 4-4 with 10 mins to go.
Both teams had chances to get the win with Matthew making a vital last ditch tackle to thwart chippenham and two melksham players just failing to get the last touch.
the last time the yellows played this team the score was 18-0 to chippenham ....... this for the yellows was a massive result and the lads derserve something from the season for their loyality and determination despite being on the end of some harsh scorelines...well done everyone
