u9 saints into cup quarter final

A superb goal by tom thomson in the 2nd half of extra time secured a hard fought typical cup game. Saints came up against a strong Bradford team who battled hard against and unerstrength team who were missing both our top striker and no 1 goalie.Saints thought about their positions intellingently and showed true team spirit in their victory. An early goalfrom the ever improving Rob Crudge ,two goals from the outstanding Matt Tanner and a well taken goal from ed bew made extra time a nail biting affair.Vital tackles by kyle and important stops from "stand in " tom lloyd in goal was just the back up for "captain" Jack house to control the midfield. It was a very hard game for the saints and they never gave up and although looking tired in the final stages certainly deserved the victory. A fantastic display enjoyed by every one and boys i had a phone call from the bradford manager who said we were the best team they played and its the best they have played so an extra well done ian
