MTYFC U9 get to quarter finals at Devizes
Joe scores goal of the century, Shaun shows real class.
Devizes tournament was never going to be easy but great performances by Joe Wood and Shaun Bailey helped us push through to the Quarter finals.
Joe's goal was "the goal of the tournament season", or possibly even better than that. A well struck corner from Will Lambert went straight for Joe and Joe headed it in with such force the keeper could do nothing about it. Well done Joe.
Meanwhile Shaun banged in a classic to get us back to a 2-2 draw which was the clincher for getting through. Well done to Will for also setting up that one as well as showing his class as a strong defender.
Well done to all the other players too. A really impressive performance from a mix of Magpies and Robins team including Ieuan, Euan, James, Max and Owen T, showed that we've got a lot of class and should have a great season next year.
Its great to see so much improvement in each individual and in the way we are passing the ball around as a team.
