U10 Girls v Trowbridge Wanderers

The u10 Girls notch up there 2nd victory

U10 Girls v Trowbridge Wanderers

Melksham and Trowbridge Wanderers u10 Girls

After the girls win against Lavington the girls played there 2nd game v Trowbridge Wanderers.
On a hot sunny morning in Trowbridge the girls were into there stride early into the game and a early goal from Holly settles any nerves the girls had.
the girls came under real pressure for a period with trowbridge forcing numberous corners but melksham battled bravely and broke away through Emily whose shot was well saved but was slotted home by Keliss from an acute angle to make it 2-0.
As half time approached trowbridge broke but was superbly saved by lauren in the Melksham goal. The pressure from Trowbridge finally gave them a goal on the stoke of half time.

The second half turned into a battle between Emily and the Trowbridge keeper as shot after shot was well saved by the keeper or was saved by the woodwork.
There were breaks by Holly from her own half only to be stopped again but Melksham had to be alert of Trowbridge attacks who forced another fine save from Lauren.

The pressure finally paid off with Holly notching her second and Melkshams third (both scored with her left foot I am told).

As with last weeks game it was played in great spitit by both sets fo girls.

Well done to the whole squad:

Lauren - who pulled off 2 great saves and what an improvement on the goal kicks

Miah - fast, agressive and a couple of storming runs from defence.

Courtney - some great clearences from defence and some nice touches when in midfield.

Keliss - an athletic display all over the pitch and filled in superbly in defence finished off with a well taken Goal.

Emily - Great breakaway for 2nd goal, could of had 5 2nd half if not for Trowbridge Keeper, battled really hard.

Chloe - some nice touches and passes creating scoring chances.

Holly - ran her heart out and finished with a couple of goals scored with her left foot.
